Little Hands is such a special place. Our son and his classmates learn life skills like sewing, clothes washing, and polishing that simultaneously help develop their gross and fine motor skills. They build strong foundations for reading, writing and mathematics that adapt to the individual child’s needs. And they do this all in a fully bilingual classroom.

When you walk into LHM you know immediately its different from other preschools- Kids are quietly focused on their own work. They are polite and will introduce themselves to observing adults. Even the youngest children are learning and responding in two languages at the same time.

I give thanks everyday that we found Little Hands Montessori. What led us to the decision to send our youngest, before he was even three, was the passion we felt from Lee, the founder and director. It was solidified by the feeling we got upon entering the beautiful space for the first time. I had to educate myself on the Montessori way of teaching, but found that it fit well with the gentle parenting approach we strive for. It promotes independence and builds confidence while helping children learn life skills appropriate for their age. Tasks they are free to choose themselves based on what gives them joy….promoting a love of learning that stays with them a lifetime. What a gift to our children and our community Little Hands has been.

Little Hands Montessori has been a gift for our son and our family. Since his attendance, our son has flourished in language, social, and life skills. He has become more independent, confident and communicates better about his needs. The environment is calm, and allows for our son to make choices about what he will learn. Having a bi-lingual component is another win for helping him to build a foundation for stronger communication skills. We are so grateful for the all of the staff, the families and their children who are a part of this amazing community.
